Factory Authorized vs. Factory Trained
As a Factory Authorized Warranty Service Provider, we can provide you with the following advantages:

  • Any part of the remaining product warranty will be pointed out to you so you can take full advantage of this vital protection. (Surprisingly, some products may have as much as 12 years or even a lifetime warranty on some parts.)
  • If the product is under any remaining warranty, the only way you can make claims on covered items is to use a Factory Authorized service.
  • As a Factory Authorized service provider, we have the complete backing of the manufacturer, which provides both you and our technicians with the following:
    • Ongoing factory training – sometimes 2 to 3 times a year. Many of the manufacturers have invited our technicians for an extended stay at their factory training facility for in-depth, full product-line training. We always accept by sending one or more technicians.
    • Full access to product technical service information via the manufacturers private website (available only to Factory Authorized companies).
    • A direct line to the factory's technical service advisors (available only to Factory Authorized companies).
  • Key, essential service bulletins about your product.
  • A reliable source for resolutions to difficulties and/or reoccurring problems with your product(s).
Additional things to look for when selecting an appliance repair service company:
  • Always look for a company that is fully insured. (We also add additional individual insurance on each technician.)
  • Many companies claim to be factory trained or certified, but you must have a satisfactory answer from them as to why they're not Factory Authorized.
  • Any company working on refrigeration must have their CFC certification. (A fully certified CFC technician supervises all of our refrigeration work.)
  • Ask how long the company has been in business. (Our company is local to the MD-DC-VA area and has been in business for more than a quarter of a century.)
  • Be naturally curious about 800 numbers when looking for local service.
